Career pathways
How we sequence career-change planning and reskilling in Germany — stage by stage, so you know what “ready” means before you resign or enrol.
This page is the map behind our consultations. Most clients enter at Stage 1 or Stage 2; application coaching belongs later, once the target role is credible.
Orientation
Clarify why the current work is ending, what must stay true about income and hours, and whether the pain is the field, the employer, or the shift pattern. Output: a short constraint sheet and a first shortlist of directions.
Fit & local demand
Test the shortlist against vacancies and hiring norms near you. Decide lateral move versus Umschulung versus return-with-Auffrischung. Output: one primary direction and one fallback.
Reskilling design
If training is required, compare measures, funding questions, and interim income. Output: a dated pathway with go/no-go checkpoints — the core of Reskilling Pathway Mapping.
Application window
Prepare Lebenslauf and Anschreiben for the chosen direction; rehearse interviews. Output: two polished applications and practised answers for career-change questions.
Early employment
After an offer or course start, review Einarbeitung expectations and whether a mid-course correction is needed. Optional follow-up; not every client needs this stage.

If you are still choosing a direction, start with the Career-Change Consultation. If the direction is clear, ask about pathway mapping.
