Small group in discussion during a planning workshop

Client stories

Evidence from real engagements — specific constraints, decisions, and outcomes from career-change and reskilling work in Germany.

“We spent most of the first hour on commute distance and childcare windows before we even named a target job. That constraint list saved me from enrolling in a full-time course I could not have finished.”

“The pathway notes were blunt about my English-only applications for Pflegehelfer roles. Useful, if uncomfortable. I switched to a bilingual preparation plan and got further.”

Daniel R. · Reskilling Pathway Mapping · Bonn region

“Interview coaching helped me stop oversharing about my Pflegezeit. One short line on the CV and a practised answer was enough. I still froze once in a real Vorstellungsgespräch — but I recovered using the structure we rehearsed.”

Sibel A. · Application & Interview Coaching

“After eight years out, I expected someone to rewrite my entire CV overnight. Instead we built a six-month return sequence with a short Kurs and two Teilzeit applications. Slower than I wanted — and more honest.”

Extended case notes

From warehouse shifts to Verwaltung — without a rushed Umschulung

A client in his mid-thirties wanted to leave night logistics work. National ads for Bürokaufmann Umschulung looked appealing. In session we compared local Verwaltung openings that valued his Schichtführung experience against a two-year full-time measure he could not fund.

Outcome: a lateral application plan into Lagerverwaltung and a short Excel/DATEV Auffrischung instead of immediate Umschulung. He accepted a daytime role within four months; formal retraining remained a year-two option if promotion stalled.

Return after caregiving, Rheinland-Pfalz

A client returning after three years of caregiving needed hours that ended before school pickup. We narrowed targets to Teilzeit in municipal and clinic administration, revised the Lebenslauf gap line, and scheduled interview coaching for the “Are you fully available?” question.

Outcome: two interviews in six weeks; one offer at 60% with a clear Einarbeitungsplan. The reservation she still names: confidence returned slower than the calendar suggested.
